Faux Co.
Faux Co. is Chicago's own "Gritpop" outfit. Founded by songwriter Ben Mackey in 2016. Imagine if Elliott Smith and Spoon had a lofi baby, who only listened to John Lennon and the Stones, and LO! you have "Gritpop", and you have Faux Company. The group has played premier venues such as Schubas, Coles, The Observatory, Sofar Sounds, Subterrean to name a few. They recently recorded their debut record, and released a Double A Side Single 7" Set the Record Straight/Prozac Spaceman local indie Dark Circles Records. Keep an eye out for their Debut Record RADIO SILENCE dropping in 2019, and a tour surrounding the release.

Bloody Tambourine and the Musical Mafia
One night, a blood-spattered tambourine arrived on drummer Derek Kemp’s porch. Where did it come from? What did it mean? Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Chicago, Illinois, Bloody Tambourine and the Musical Mafia imagines the answer to those questions: a creepy band of cut-throat mobsters out for blood and murder! Their macabre and whimsical ragtime style sizzles with songs about everything from revenge and greed to the downright ghostly and spiritual. They’ll perplex you on piano! They’ll beguile you on guitar! They’ll daunt you on drums! When that bloody tambourine appears, the Musical Mafia isn’t far behind!
A collaboration with Eden Productions, Bloody Tambourine and the Musical Mafia will be releasing their music video and single ahead of their debut album. "Founding Fathers," explores the charm and nostalgia of haunted sites from their youth.
