Church Girls (Philadelphia, PA)
Formed in 2014 by Mariel Beaumont, Church Girls is on a quest to tap into listeners’ emotional marrow by lyrically confessing a resistance to growing up, espousing a tendency towards self-destruction, showing the pains of communication, and celebrating the ways we work to become better humans a little at a time.
The 2016 EP Thousand Lives received local praise for its “introspective lyrics that complement pop melodies beautifully” (WXPN). The 2018 single Young Planes was described by PopMatters as "a restless, urgent piece that fuses the fire and burning punk zeal of early Sleater-Kinney with the post-millennial anxieties and indie melodies of Angel Olsen."
“Sparkling indie rock from this Philly group that surrounds lithe vocal melodies with wreaths of guitar.” - Bandcamp New & Notable

Chicago's five-piece psychedelic rockers combine the dreamy vibes of the 1960's with the face-ripping riffs of the early 2000's. Sort of like heavy metal for the beach.

Chicago, indie rock duo Bernie & The Wolf is taking you back to school with hot coco and world domination inspired indie alternative dream pop slightly mathy rock goodness. They're endearing and fun on stage, but make no mistake this band packs a punch. Sweet and dangerous like a molten toasted marshmallow, this dynamic duo will not forget to lay down with some smooth groves after all that head-banging.
