Born from the ashes of local sludge-metal/noise-rock freaks Cacaw, guitarist-vocalist Anya Davidson reemerges after a strong hiatus to create the noisy four-piece LILAC. Consisting of Baltimore transplants Chris Day on bass, Conor Stechschulte on guitar (both of defunct doomy noise-psych band Witch Hat) and Kenny Rasmussen of Anatomy of Habit on drums, LILAC aims to deliver noise-rock quicker, punchier and harder than ever before.
formed in very late 2015 mr.phylzzz, a two piece queermare has made a nice splash in the noise rock wonderland. Mr. Phylzzz (pronounced mister flyzzz because why not/based off the buzzing sound of Clinton Jacob shitty les paul) created their sound first simply as a joke during a previous bands practice. Over time mr.phylzzz formed a heavy wall of sound filled with hooky riffs and melodic vocals that create a beautiful chaotic storm thats worth the painful wall of cranked amps and exploding drums. During the growing years phylzzz was doing small tours which landed them getting picked up in 2019 by Amphetamine Reptile Records to be featured on the legendary Dope Guns n Fucking In the Streets Vol 14 comp and a Full length record release coming in 2019 on Amphetamine Reptile Records. I am mr.phylzzz, he is mr.phylzzz and we are all mr.phylzzz
Male-female duo band. Two basses and a drum machine. No Guitar, No BS. (see also Mr Russia / W.o.r.m.)
Pylons formed in Chicago in 2015 and have released two full-length records. Known for contrasting vocals and tight songwriting, their sound is uniquely thrilling. Post-punk and grunge influences vary up their sound, perfect for fans of Pixies or Wire. Their full lineup is Gretchen Hannum on guitar and vocals, Sam Fadness also on guitar and vocals, Karen Mooney on bass, and Andrew Sheriff on drums.
