MICROCOSMS

Microcosms makes music to question your beliefs to. The Chicago-based alternative rock band began as the brainbaby of Andrew Tschiltsch (guitar/vocals), who spent a few years recording solo demos and experimenting with his sound before recruiting Bryan Emer (bass) and Jered Pipenbrink (drums) to fill out the band. The band blends introspective lyrics with lush guitar riffs and pulsating rhythms. Microcosms is most influenced by modern rock artists like Arctic Monkeys, Bully, Cage the Elephant, Courtney Barnett, Portugal. the Man, and Wolf Alice.

MC FOUCAULT

MC Foucault is a queer trans indigenous/mexican rapper from michigan. They moved to Chicago in july 2017. They use sample driven and original beats and rap about various issues from memes, anime and video games to queer, trans social justice issues.

SPARKLETEARS

One day Fatt & Lau decided to get burgers & start a band. They call the music they make "sad glam". They aren’t entirely sure what that means either but it sounds cool.

STARDUSK ENCOUNTER

Sporting a sonic kaleidoscope that includes psychedelic rock, intimate shoegaze, dark new-wave and driving dance beats; Chicago's Stardusk Encounter have quite the pedigree for major success in the area. In a scene where bands seem chained to their specific genre, Stardusk Encounter are a consistently shape-shifting entity, yet the unique mixture of styles isn't there as a hollow grab for every possible audience. This is a band of well-schooled multi-instrumentalists, clearly writing and performing on their own terms with a canyon-wide palette of slinky, ominous sounds.
