STONEBURNER's - King of Wolves tour 2022
With special guest Chant (The hydra resurrection)
After signing with indie label COP International Records in February, Stoneburner today releases the first taste of new music with catchy track “Sellout” that examines the pitfalls of the music industry, the battle to get ahead in it, and the downfall of having no tours the past year to stay engaged.
Stoneburner is the post-industrial music and art project from prolific multimedia creative Steven Archer. Baltimore-based Archer is also known for co-founding the darkwave gothic rock duo Ego Likeness (Metropolis Records) with Donna Lynch that formed in 1999 and has successfully released several albums and completed several tours in Europe.
“Sellout” is the first taste of the music that will be forthcoming on Stoneburner’s first album for COP International, called Apex Predator. The track is being released as part of an EP that includes remixes from Klack as well as labelmates Stabbing Westward and Sick Jokes.
Apex Predator is set to be released in 2021 and will be produced by the lauded John Fryer whose production credits include Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, and Love & Rockets. Fryer also acts as COP International’s A&R agent. The album will be a follow-up to Stoneburner’s last self-released LP Technology Implies Belligerence. Says Archer of that release, “It was the industrial record that I have been promising myself I would make for my entire life."
CHANT, the tribal-industrial-art-rock project of drummer and musician Bradley Bills (Austin, TX, USA), is known for high-energy, unforgettable live shows and percussive driven songwriting that digs deep into primal emotion and social observation.
In its 15-year history, CHANT’s relentless DIY approach gained the band international attention, attaining tours in the US, UK and Europe supporting KMFDM, Lords of Acid and Die Krupps and, Bradley has been called upon to contribute his drumming skills as a touring member of Die Krupps, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, The Skatenigs and Pigface, and to provide his remix and production skills for many more.
In 2020, CHANT returns with a 4th full length album: HYDRA. Written in 2019 and recorded, mixed and produced by Bradley himself – it proves to be his most ambitious, yet focused effort to date.

While many artists took time off in 2020 and 2021 to just hope for the best, BELLHEAD continued working at full speed. The critically acclaimed duo of Karen and Ivan are once again releasing new music with their latest EP ‘Dead Lights’. In addition, the duo booked several tour dates in the fall of 2021 and early 2022.
The new EP ‘Dead Lights’ features five songs expanding the band's signature sound. While you’ll hear the familiar gritty low bass that BELLHEAD has grown famous for on songs like “Mercy”, you can see a definite growth to the writing and recording styles of this group. The band nods to Type O Negative and Neil Young in “The River”, while the duo’s industrial roots are heard in the noir detective tale of “Nothing as it Seems”. “Frankenstein” is a frenetic journey into the madness of Mary Shelley’s gothic novel with a Alice Cooper / White Zombie flair, and “Dead Letter” resolves the ep with a slow burn erupting to a cathartic resolve.
‘Dead Lights’ can be purchased or streamed here:
BELLHEAD fast tracked their rise to prominence with the release of their debut EP, ‘Unicorn Bones’ in July of 2020. Crossing over fan bases and genres from the post-punk, gothic, industrial, alternative and metal scenes, ‘Unicorn Bones’ opened many doors for the band as they started to reach the mainstream with articles and reviews in such high profile media outlets as, The Deli Magazine’s featured September Band of the Month, Divide and Conquer, Bass Magazine, Whitelight/Whiteheat, Breathing the Core, Chicago Music Guide, and Music Eternal’s August Band of the Month.
‘Dead Lights’ has only been out a few weeks now and it’s already become a critical favorite of the media and has garnered such praise as:
"This is pretty much bordering on perfect" - Headshot music
“The philosophy in songwriting in Bellhead is simply phenomenal.” - Brutal Resonance
"It seems like Bellhead just can't stop levelling up. This is one of those bands that continues to show so much incredible potential to 'blow up' one day and become a regular name upon the lips of the wider alternative culture. With this release, it feels like the lid's about to blow.”
