Prep for your family’s Thanksgiving with taboo conversation and a potluck dinner at Story Club South Side’s TABLE MANNERS show! We’ll be telling stories about things that are taboo or difficult to talk about, and everyone is invited to bring food to share!
Our Featured Storytellers this month are:
• Community journalist F. AMANDA TUGADE!
• Comedian and humorist STEPHANIE WEBER!
Hosted by ANDREW MARIKIS & co-produced by CYNTHIA E. HANIFIN!
We’ll also be sharing the love this month by collecting donations for ICIRR - The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights.
If you have a true story you’d like to tell about a taboo subject (or anything else you want to share with our audience), sign up for our Open Mic!
These are all of the night's happenings:
@ 6:30 PM - A FREE WORKSHOP with Story Club producers for anyone who has a story, an idea for a story, or just the jitters!
@ 7:30 PM - Open Mic sign-up starts (2-3 open mic stories every month!)
@ 8 PM - Live Storytelling Show!
$5 tickets before the show, $10 tickets cash at the door. Cash bar! (We are no longer BYOB, but we offer all the delightful booze you can drink at our cash bar!)
The Co-Prosperity Sphere is the glorious radio station/performance space/art gallery that houses our enthusiasm! Cozy up to the lovinest room in Chicago!
